Preliminary Front Elevation Study
Preliminary Ocean Elevation Study
Front elevation with stair tower revised from the initial study. The loggia is the entryway to the home constructed of limestone.
The fronton design is a custom silver palmetto motif and the lanterns are made of bronze fabricated by Joanne Sims of Ma Maison. There is a direct view of the ocean through the courtyard and living room. The statuary inset of the fountain is made of white marble.
The curved corners seen throughout the exterior architecture as well as the fountain reflect the Art Deco design. The arched doors in the ocean view and courtyard are made of solid bronze. All other windows and doors are bronze clad.
This is the ocean elevation, slightly modified from the original rear elevation study seen above. Seen here is the ocean terrace off the master suite (above), and the ocean porch (below) which opens to the flooded edge pool. The corners of the porch, upper parapet, and pool length steps are subtly curved to reinforce the deco design. To preserve symmetry, the breakfast room conservatory on the right side is stained black to recede visually.
The ceiling of the ocean porch is constructed of cypress, you can see the entrance to the conservatory in this picture.
This home makes you feel you have been carried back in time to the 1920's and 30's.
